Regular Season Round 26: Treuchtlingen - Leitershofen 87-95

The most important game in the last round took place in Treutchlingen between third ranked Treuchtlingen (16-8) and eleventh ranked Topstar (10-14) on Saturday night. Treuchtlingen was defeated by Topstar in a tough game at home 87-95. It was a great shooting night for Topstar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. American forward Joshua Hart (198-90, college: Va Intermont) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Raphael Braun (185-94) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Treuchtlingen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Treuchtlingen's coach Stephen Harlander rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Topstar moved-up to tenth place in South-East, which they share with Ansbach. Treuchtlingen at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Topstar is looking forward to face higher ranked Schwabing (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Treuchtlingen will play against Herzogenaurach and is hoping to win this game.
