Regular Season Round 27: Telekom Bsk - Ludwigsburg 90-86

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Telekom Baskets' (15-10) home victory over 7th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (13-13) 90-86. Telekom Baskets players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by EnBW Ludwigsburg helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Ken Horton (199-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. American swingman DJ Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists and international Johannes Thiemann (204-94) added 20 points and 12 rebounds respectively for EnBW Ludwigsburg in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 15-10 record. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Telekom Baskets' next round opponent will be Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#10) in Frankfurt. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play at home against s Oliver Baskets and hope to win that game.
