Everything went according to plan when third ranked Vilsbiburg (17-7) outplayed at home 12th ranked Zwickau (7-17) 119-91 on Sunday. Vilsbiburg forced 25 Zwickau turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American-Czech point guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo, agency: Dynamics Global Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds, 16 assists and 6 steals. Czech center Lubos Novy (204-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Boyer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. Coach Holger Prote's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Felix Fraas (184-94) replied with 29 points and 7 rebounds and Romanian-Moldovan swingman Alexei Andrus (195-79) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Zwickau. Vilsbiburg have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South-East, which they share with Bad Aibling. Zwickau lost fifth consecutive game.
