Bottom-ranked Academia (0-9) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to twelfth ranked Ginasio (6-4) 73-63 on Sunday evening. Ginasio shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Bernardo Neves (192-96) fired 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Jose Costa (187-73) chipped in 14 points and 5 assists. Four Ginasio players scored in double figures. Ginasio's coach Joao Miguel Mota allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Cape Verdean forward Denis Neves (197-78) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and forward Carlos Tavares (194-84) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ginasio have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place in Places 9-16, which they share with Fisica and Belenenses CF. Loser Academia still closes the standings with nine games lost. Ginasio will meet at home higher ranked Angrabasket (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Academia will play against Fisica (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
