Regular Season Round 27: Rendsburg - Aschersleben 60-68
Date: April 1, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Rendsburg (7-12) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Aschersleben (14-6) 68-60 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Slovenian-Serbian power forward Ljubisa Markovic (212-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Slovenian guard Leon Dronjak (191-91) helped adding 22 points. The best for the losing side was guard Max Hillner (190-89) with 25 points and center Christopher Geist (208-95) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Rendsburg's coach Bjarne Homfeldt rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aschersleben. They moved-up to third place in North, which they share with BSW Sixers. Rendsburg lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. Aschersleben will have a break next round. Rendsburg will play on the road against Wusterhausen (#8) in Wildau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
