Eighteenth-ranked Muglaorman (4-27) used its home court advantage to challenge fifteenth ranked Pertevniyal (10-21) on Saturday. The visitors from Istanbul managed to secure only one-point victory 80-79. However their fans expected easier game. Pertevniyal looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Muglaorman was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Ogulcan Baykan (196-96) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Pertevniyal's coach Andac Yapicier allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) answered with 20 points and 6 assists and Omer Gogus (-89) added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Muglaorman. Four Muglaorman players scored in double figures. Pertevniyal moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Duzce Bld. Muglaorman lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 27 lost games. Pertevniyal will face higher ranked Gelisim (#13) in Izmir in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Muglaorman will play on the road against Bursaspor (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
