Sixteenth-ranked Yalova Vip (11-24) gave a tough game to second ranked Ormanspor (29-6) in Ankara on Saturday. Ormanspor managed to secure only three-point victory 70-67. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a great evening for guard Nihan Demirkol (172-92, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Asli Sevinc (178-79, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian power forward Bojana Vulic (191-84, agency: Promotex) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and forward Ebru Torun (-87) scored 16 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Ormanspor have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 29-6 record having five points less than leader Bornova. Yalova Vip at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with 24 games lost. Ormanspor are looking forward to face Nevsehir Uni (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Yalova Vip will play against Mersin Kurtulus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
