Regular Season Round 24: Osmaniye - Mersin BSB 63-65

Fourteenth-ranked Osmaniye (4-19) made lots of trouble for tenth ranked Mersin BSB (11-13) on Saturday. The visitors from Mersin managed to secure only two-point victory 65-63. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Danielle Robinson (178-89, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Lithuanian power forward Gintare Petronyte (196-89) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-90, college: UCLA) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and Russian center Marina Bas (195-85) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Osmaniye players scored in double figures. Mersin BSB moved-up to eighth place. Osmaniye lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Mersin BSB will meet at home Samsun (#11) in the next round. Osmaniye will play against Mersin MBK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
