Regular Season Round 27: Oberhaching - Rosenheim 84-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Rosenheim's (11-14) road loss to eighth ranked Oberhaching (13-12) 76-84 on Sunday. Oberhaching made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Oberhaching outrebounded Rosenheim 45-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) who led his team to a victory scoring 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Forward Frieder Diestelhorst (201-87) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. Oberhaching's coach Mario Matic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was power forward Adrian-Constantin Gheorghiu (200-90) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Steffen Lautner (201-88) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Rosenheim players scored in double figures. Oberhaching moved-up to seventh place in South-East, which they share with Schwabing. Loser Rosenheim keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Oberhaching will face league's leader Coburg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosenheim will play against Zwickau (#12) and hope to win that game.
