No shocking result in a game when second ranked Avangard (22-2) crushed bottom-ranked DVUFK (1-22) in Dnepropetrovsk 110-47 on Sunday. The game without a history. Avangard led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding DVUFK to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Avangard dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to DVUFK's 28. They outrebounded DVUFK 52-27 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Avangard looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by DVUFK's players. International center Olga Yatskovets (183-97) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward Viktoriya Kasatkina (187-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Avangard players scored in double figures. Swingman Oksana Fastova (173-99) replied with 21 points and forward Tamara Budonna (170-1) added 5 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for DVUFK. DVUFK's coach Oleksandr Cherednichenko was aware about no chance of winning the game, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Avangard have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tim-Scuf. DVUFK lost fourteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games.
