Second Stage Round 10: CSU Sibiu - Oradea 69-66

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Liga Nationala took place in Sibiu. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Oradea (15-13) to third ranked CSU Sibiu (18-10) 69-66 on Wednesday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 28-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. CSU Sibiu forced 21 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 48-34 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. Guard Kevin Hardy (188-93, college: McNeese St.) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Chris Cooper (205-90, college: ODU) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Sean Barnette (197-86, college: Wingate) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) scored 16 points. Five CSU Sibiu and four Oradea players scored in double figures. CSU Sibiu moved-up to second place in Nationala. Defending champion Oradea keeps the fourth position with 13 games lost.
