An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Porto. First ranked FC Porto Ferpinta faced 4th ranked Oliveirense. Host FC Porto Ferpinta (23-5) defeated guests from Oliveira (19-9) 84-74. FC Porto Ferpinta made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Serbian power forward Sasa Borovnjak (206-89, college: Penn St., agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Washburn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four FC Porto Ferpinta players scored in double figures. American forward James Ellisor (195-90, college: Bemidji St.) replied with 16 points and the former international forward Arnette Hallman (200-88) added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Oliveirense. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first position in Places 1-6 with 23-5 record. Oliveirense lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. FC Porto Ferpinta will play against league's second-placed Benfica on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oliveirense will play against Illiabum and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
