Ninth-ranked Dukes (4-24) gave a tough game to sixth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (14-14). Raiffeisen Wels managed to secure only three-point victory 72-69. However their fans expected easier game. It looked good early as Dukes took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Raiffeisen Wels had a 20-7 second period charge getting the lead and Dukes were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 69-72. Raiffeisen Wels dominated on the defensive end, holding Dukes to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 21 Dukes turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Lorenzo O'Neal (188-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 assists for the winners. International center Jozo Rados (208-93) answered with 24 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Christoph Greimeister (208-90) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Dukes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Raiffeisen Wels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Arkadia. Dukes lost their sixteenth game in a row. They stay dead last with 24 lost games. Raiffeisen Wels' next round opponent will be Furstenfeld Panthers (#7) on the road. Dukes will play against UBSC Graz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
