Regular Season Round 25: Abdullah Gul - Yakin Dogu BGD 76-74

The most exciting game of round 25 in the KBSL took place in Kayseri. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent Yakin Dogu BGD (19-6) to third ranked Abdullah Gul (18-5) 76-74 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Yakin Dogu BGD. Worth to mention a great performance of Belgian center Ann Wauters (194-80, agency: ProDep Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Aysegul Gunay (172-92, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Abdullah Gul's coach Ayhan Avci used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International point guard Olcay Cakir (182-93, agency: 1x1 Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists and Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Yakin Dogu BGD. Four Yakin Dogu BGD players scored in double figures. Abdullah Gul have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 18-5 record having 2 victories less than leader Fenerbahce. Yakin Dogu BGD at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Abdullah Gul are looking forward to face Istanbul Uni (#7) in Istanbul in the next round. Yakin Dogu BGD will play at home against Adana ASKI (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
