Very expected game when 11th ranked Akhisar Bld (13-19) was crushed at home by third ranked Sakarya BSB (26-7) 92-69 on Wednesday. Sakarya BSB dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Akhisar Bld's 28. They outrebounded Akhisar Bld 34-22 including 24 on the defensive glass. Sakarya BSB looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Akhisar Bld's players. The best player for the winners was the former international Kerem Gonlum (208-77) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Sakarya BSB will meet at home Mamak DSI (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Akhisar Bld will play against Turk Telekom (#9) in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
