There was no surprise in Tuebingen where 14th ranked Walter Tigers (9-23) were defeated by second ranked Brose Baskets (26-3) 87-75. Brose Baskets shot 62.8 percent from the field and made 24-of-27 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Brose Baskets outrebounded Walter Tigers 33-19 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Brose Baskets especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Walter Tigers helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International Daniel Theis (204-92, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Latvian point guard Janis Strelnieks (191-89) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Stanton Kidd (202-92, college: Colorado St.) did not help to save the game for Walter Tigers.
