Very predictable result when second ranked Ormanspor (31-6) won against 11th ranked Urla BLD (18-19) in Ankara 86-78 on Saturday. Ormanspor forced 19 Urla BLD turnovers. It was a very good performance for Nigerian-American center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Nihan Demirkol (172-92, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Ormanspor's coach Furkan Saglik used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ayse Akinci (175-82, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Ukrainian center Olena Staschuk (192-85) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Urla BLD. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Ormanspor. They maintain second place with 31-6 record having five points less than leader Bornova. Loser Urla BLD keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost. Ormanspor will face bottom-ranked 55 Genclik (#20) in Samsun in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
