Regular Season Round 32: P.Zvaigzdes - Vytautas 92-89

Important game to mention about took place in Pasvalys. Seventh ranked P.Zvaigzdes (14-18) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Vytautas (16-16) 92-89 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vytautas won fourth quarter 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. P.Zvaigzdes players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by Osvaldas Olisevicius (200-93) who scored that evening 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Derrick Low (191-86, college: Washington St., agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 14 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Even 18 points by the former international guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-82) did not help to save the game for Vytautas. Power forward Regimantas Miniotas (206-96) added 11 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. P.Zvaigzdes maintains seventh position with 14-18 record. Defending champion Vytautas dropped to the sixth place with 16 games lost. P.Zvaigzdes will play against higher ranked Juventus (#5) in Utena in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Vytautas will play at home against Neptunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
