Kakanj's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after nine consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Spars Sarajevo (3-7) 69-60 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Spars Sarajevo 46-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Center Obrad Tomic (206-93) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Dejan Sakotic (195-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) supported him with 15 points. Even 9 points and 4 assists by Serbian guard Maksim Kovacevic (196-87) did not help to save the game for Spars Sarajevo. International point guard Adi Zahiragic (187-95) added 13 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kakanj maintains sixth position in I with 1-9 record. Loser Spars Sarajevo keeps the fifth place with seven games lost.
