The game in Istanbul supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Abdullah Gul (19-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Istanbul Uni (12-14). Abdullah Gul smashed Istanbul Uni 81-48 on Wednesday. Abdullah Gul dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Istanbul Uni's 16. They outrebounded Istanbul Uni 50-23 including a 34-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Abdullah Gul looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was center Gizem Sezer (194-94, agency: LBM Management) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. International LaToya Sanders (191-86, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Abdullah Gul players scored in double figures. Latvian power forward Aija Putnina (191-88, agency: ProDep Management) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Tan White (170-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: ProDep Management) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Abdullah Gul maintains fourth position with 19-7 record. Istanbul Uni lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Mersin BSB.
