Regular Season Round 34: Lietuvos rytas - Lietkabelis 92-60

An interesting game for Lietuvos rytas (25-9) which hosted in Vilnius one of their biggest challengers Lietkabelis (23-11). Second ranked Lietuvos rytas had an easy win 92-60. The game without a history. Lietuvos rytas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Drew Gordon (205-90, college: N.Mexico) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. International power forward Arturas Gudaitis (211-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five Lietuvos rytas players scored in double figures. International guard Zygimantas Janavicius (192-89, agency: Interperformances) replied with 10 points and guard Gintaras Leonavicius (194-83, agency: Players Group) added 11 points in the effort for Lietkabelis. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas maintains second position with 25-9 record having six points less than leader Zalgiris. Lietkabelis at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Lietuvos rytas are looking forward to face league's leader Zalgiris in Kaunas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lietkabelis will play at home against P.Zvaigzdes and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
