Very expected game in Bursa where 13th ranked Usak Sportlif (8-19) was defeated by ninth ranked Tofas (12-15) 82-69. Tofas outrebounded Usak Sportlif 51-32 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Dominican-American swingman Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Tony Crocker (200-87, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 23 points for the winning side. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. American DAngelo Harrison (193, college: St.John's, agency: Three Eye Sports) came up with 12 points and 7 assists and the other American import Shaquielle McKissic (196-90, college: Arizona St.) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Usak Sportlif in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Tofas maintains ninth place with 12-15 record. Usak Sportlif at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with 19 games lost. Tofas will play against Istanbul BBSK (#10) on the road in the next round. Usak Sportlif will play against Banvit (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
