Very predictable result when seventh ranked EWE Baskets (17-14) outscored on the road 12th ranked Science City Jena (12-19) 92-51 on Tuesday. EWE Baskets forced 21 Science City Jena turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) who scored 17 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import guard Frantz Massenat (193-92, college: Drexel) chipped in 13 points. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Julius Wolf (201-93) who recorded 6 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Stephan Haukohl (205-93) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
