Second Stage Round 3: Partizan - Dynamic BG 76-66

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beograd: Partizan (#5) and Dynamic BG (#6). Partizan (2-1) won against visiting Dynamic BG (1-2) 76-66. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-66. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Jamont Gordon (193-87, college: Mississippi St.) who led the winners and scored 14 points. Guard Branislav Ratkovica (192-85, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 6 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Swingman Marko Cakarevic (200-88) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian swingman Aleksandar Lazic (201-96) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Dynamic BG in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan will meet Spartak (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dynamic BG's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd FMP.
