We should mention about the upset which took place in Frankfurt, where higher ranked ALBA Berlin (19-14) lost to eleventh ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (14-18) in a road game 71-83 on Saturday. Deutsche Bank Skyliners made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 ALBA Berlin turnovers. ALBA Berlin was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American guard AJ English (192-92, college: Iona) who scored 19 points and 8 assists. His fellow American import guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian center Elmedin Kikanovic (211-88, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 15 points and Canadian guard Carl English (195-81, college: Hawaii) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Five Deutsche Bank Skyliners and four ALBA Berlin players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Goettingen. ALBA Berlin lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 14 games lost.
