Top ranked ratiopharm Ulm (30-2) recorded its second loss on the court of eighth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by EnBW Ludwigsburg 79-61. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ratiopharm Ulm. They outrebounded ratiopharm Ulm 42-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) who recorded 13 points and Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St.) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. EnBW Ludwigsburg maintains eighth place with 17-15 record. ratiopharm Ulm at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg are looking forward to face higher ranked ALBA Berlin (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Walter Tigers (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
