No shocking result in a game when second ranked Benfica (24-8) crushed at home 6th ranked Illiabum (13-19) 106-68. Benfica shot 60.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Benfica players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. American-Hungarian forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: G.Washington, agency: Inception Sports) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international forward Joao Soares (202-90, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 23 points during the contest. Five Benfica players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international point guard Joao Figueiredo (184-79) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and Serbian power forward Nikola Tadic (206-88) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Benfica maintains second position in Places 1-6 with 24-8 record having just two points less than leader FC Porto. Illiabum lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 19 games lost.
