Finals Game 3: Atomeromu - UNIQA Sopron 77-73 OT

Date: May 1, 2017
Atomeromu survived an overtime thriller to beat UNIQA Sopron in Game 3 of the title series. Atomeromu therefore narrowed the deficit in the Finals. UNIQA Sopron was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 13-11 charge of Atomeromu, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-13. Atomeromu dominated on the defensive end, holding UNIQA Sopron to just 7 points in first quarter. It was a great evening for Slovenian center Eva Lisec (192-95, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Slovenian center Sandra Pirsic (196-84) helped adding 13 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Shenise Johnson (181-90, college: Miami, FL) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Zsofia Fegyverneky (178-84, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UNIQA Sopron's coach Laszlo Sterbencz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
