Semi-Finals Game 1: Monthey - Lugano Tigers 90-78

Monthey grabbed the lead against Lugano following a comfortable home win. The game was mostly controlled by Monthey. Lugano Tigers was better in third quarter 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Monthey outrebounded Lugano Tigers 45-25 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international power forward Jonathan Dubas (204-91) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) accounted for 20 points and 8 assists. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Jules Aw (202-86) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Tristan Carey (193-91, college: Longwood) added 21 points and 4 steals respectively for Lugano Tigers in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
