Second Stage Round 13: FMP - Partizan 71-85

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beograd: Partizan (#2) and FMP (#3). FMP was defeated at home 71-85 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of FMP. It was a great shooting night for Partizan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Wiliam Hatcher (188-84, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners and guard Branislav Ratkovica (192-85, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 7 points and 10 assists. Four Partizan players scored in double figures. Partizan's coach Aleksandar Dzikic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Dejan Davidovac (202-95, agency: BeoBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Dragan Apic (206-95) scored 15 points. Partizan (12-1) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Crvena Zvezda. FMP at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Mega Leks. Partizan is looking forward to face Mega Leks (#4) in Sremska Mitrovica in the next round. FMP will play on the road against Borac in Cacak and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
