But Wuerzburg was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Rhoendorf 72-55 on Saturday night. Dragons Rhoendorf dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Wuerzburg's 30. Dragons Rhoendorf forced 21 Wuerzburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Wuerzburg's players. Quite impressive performance for American guard Kameron Taylor (198-94, college: Seton Hill) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Swingman Lukas Wank (198-97) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Miles Jackson-Cartwright (190-92, college: Pennsylvania) added 11 points in the effort for Wuerzburg. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragons Rhoendorf will face Bayer Giants in Leverkusen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wuerzburg will play on the road against Giessen 46ers II (#4) and hope to win that game.
