Regular Season Round 2: Muenchen OSB - Ansbach 73-62

The most important game of round 2 took place in Muenchen of South-East where Muenchen OSB beat Ansbach (0-1) 73-62 on Saturday night. Muenchen OSB forced 20 Ansbach turnovers and outrebounded them 40-20 including a 14-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Omari Knox (188-86, college: Bloomfield) scored 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jermaine Lippert (203-90, college: Detroit Mercy) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Forward Paul Nzeocha (192) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St., agency: SportsVision-Service) scored 8 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ansbach will play next round against strong Rosenheim trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Muenchen OSB will try to continue on its current victory against TSV Troester in Breitenguessbach.
