But Mainz was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Tuebingen 79-76 on Sunday night. Jacob Mampuya (200-94) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Adrian Lind (206-94) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Naturalized American point guard Anish Sharda (188-82, college: St.Mary's, KS) responded with 17 points and 9 assists and Latvian forward Janis Dumburs (198-96) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tuebingen II will face Limburg (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Mainz will play against BG Karlsruhe (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
