Lemvig managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lemvig to just 7 points in first quarter. Virum dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lemvig's 32. American players dominated the game. Guard Caitlin Ingle (172-95, college: Drake, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Four Virum players scored in double figures. Virum's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Kaitlyn Mathieu (188-92, college: William & Mary) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Lisa Murphy (185-94, college: Carnegie Mellon) added 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Lemvig. Virum is looking forward to face SISU in Copenhagen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lemvig will play on the road against Horsholm and is hoping to win this game.
