Turk Telekom used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Balikesir 87-70 on Saturday night. Turk Telekom looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Bandirma Kir.'s players. The former international power forward Kaya Peker (207-80, agency: Court Side) stepped up and scored 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American point guard T.J. Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) chipped in 16 points. Turk Telekom's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Sedat Karagulle (-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Erxhan Osmani (-98) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom will face Socar Petkim (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bandirma Kir. will play against TED Kolejliler (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
