Very expected game when TV Saarlouis Royals (0-2) were defeated at home by TH Wohnbau Angels (2-0) 87-79. It looked good early as TV Saarlouis Royals took a 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then TH Wohnbau Angels took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to TV Saarlouis Royals' 34 and made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. TV Saarlouis Royals were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) notched 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) supported her with 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field).
