There was no surprise when Don Bosco Bamberg (0-2) lost at home to Friendsfactory Germering (2-0) 59-45 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Friendsfactory Germering. Don Bosco Bamberg was better in fourth quarter 15-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Friendsfactory Germering made 8 blocks. Emily Bessoir (192-1) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocks. The former international Anne Delafosse (184-84) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American power forward Tori Waldner (196-93, college: Penn St.) replied with 10 points and 9 rebounds and forward Magdalena Landwehr (183-1) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Don Bosco Bamberg. Don Bosco Bamberg's coach tested twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Friendsfactory Germering will face Krofdorf/Gleib. in Giessen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
