Regular Season Round 2: Krofdorf/Gleib. - Weiterstadt 73-72

Krofdorf/Gleib. used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Weiterstadt 73-72 on Tuesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Weiterstadt won fourth quarter 17-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Alise Karlsone (183-91, college: Charleston So.) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import guard Erin Bratcher (176-92, college: Charleston So.) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Guard Christina Krick (169) replied with 14 points and 6 assists and forward Saskia Giesselbach (174) added 13 points in the effort for Weiterstadt. Weiterstadt's coach Conrad Jackson tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Krofdorf/Gleib. will face Friendsfactory Germering on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Weiterstadt will play against Wasserburg II (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
