Another exciting game was played in Balikesir between Bodrum and Edremit where Bodrum (1-0) crushed Edremit (0-1) on the road with 25-point difference 86-61. The game without a history. Bodrum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Edremit's 36. They outrebounded Edremit 35-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Harika Eldas (182-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) contributed with 25 points for the winners. The former international center Melek Bilge (193-89) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Hande Celebi (-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) added 5 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Edremit. Four Edremit players scored in double figures. Bodrum will play against Bursa BSB at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Edremit will play against Istanbulgucu (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
