Very expected game in Vienna where Worthersee Piraten (0-3) was crushed by Timberwolves (3-0) 115-53 on Saturday. Timberwolves dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Worthersee Piraten's 28 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Timberwolves forced 19 Worthersee Piraten turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Timberwolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Worthersee Piraten's players. It was a great evening for Slovakian center Vincent Polakovic (203-84, college: USF) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international guard David Geisler (186-80) helped adding 15 points. Four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Maximilian Kunovjanek (199-87) with 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Kushtrim Dvorani (185-99) scored 8 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
