First defeat of TH Wohnbau Angels (3-1) against twelfth ranked BasCats Heidelberg (1-3) 89-84 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of TH Wohnbau Angels. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 25-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. BasCats Heidelberg made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 TH Wohnbau Angels turnovers. Strangely TH Wohnbau Angels outrebounded BasCats Heidelberg 48-28 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Young is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. BasCats Heidelberg's coach Dennis Czygan used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Jennifer Schlott (168-91, college: Utah St., agency: LBM Management) replied with 23 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for TH Wohnbau Angels. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BasCats Heidelberg left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. TH Wohnbau Angels at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Herner. They were replaced at the leadership position by Keltern. TH Wohnbau Angels will play next round against SV Halle Lions trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
