Regular Season Round 4: Vilsbiburg - Schwabing 96-81
Date: October 7, 2017
Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Schwabing (0-3) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Vilsbiburg (3-0) 96-81 on Saturday. Vilsbiburg forced 22 Schwabing turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of British forward Joshua Guddemi (201-94, college: New Haven) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Kendall Timmons (195-90, college: Tulane) who added 24 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Joshua Obiesie (196-0) responded with 19 points and American forward Nathan Gibbs (204-89, college: Westmont) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vilsbiburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of South-East leader, which they share with TSV Troester and Treuchtlingen. Loser Schwabing still closes the standings with three games lost. Vilsbiburg will face Ansbach (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Schwabing will play against GGZ Baskets (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
