Regular Season Round 3: Bochum - Wolfenbuettel 90-82

There was a minor upset in Bochum where Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (1-2) was defeated by AstroStars (1-2) 90-82 on Saturday. AstroStars made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for forward Alexander Angerer (203-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American Ryon Howard (198-84, college: Sacred Heart) helped adding 20 points and 6 rebounds. AstroStars' coach Gary Johnson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Tarique Thompson (196-94, college: High Point) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AstroStars will face RSV Eintracht (#11) in Stahnsdorf in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
