Regular Season Round 4: Ebstorf - Weser Bsk/BTS 71-76

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Weser Bsk/BTS and bottom-ranked Ebstorf had identical 0-2 record. But Ebstorf was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Neustadt 76-71 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jonas Liermann (197-87) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Matthew Reid (185-84, college: Cameron) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Christopher Thompson (195-82, college: S.Indiana) responded with 25 points and swingman Konrad Burda (195-96) scored 15 points. Ebstorf's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Weser Bsk/BTS (1-2) left bottom position moving up to eighth place in North. It was Ebstorf's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with three games lost. Weser Bsk/BTS will face Westerstede (#10) at home in the next round. Ebstorf will play against Rendsburg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
