Important game to mention about took place in Ankara. Karesi Spor (2-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Ankara D.S.I. (0-2) 67-65 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 19-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Ankara D.S.I. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-88, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Karesi Spor will face Afyon Bld (#7) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round where they are favorite.
