Regular Season Round 4: Koblenz - Speyer 73-72

A very close game took place in Koblenz between Koblenz and Speyer. Seventh ranked Koblenz (2-1) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Speyer (2-1). Koblenz managed to escape with a 1-point win 73-72 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Speyer. Lithuanian point guard Paulius Semaska (185-93) fired 16 points and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Henning Schaake (201-95) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Koblenz's coach Josip Bosnjak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Spanish center Eduard Arques (202-94) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Jordan Rezendes (188, college: Mass.-Dartmouth) added 20 points (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. Four Speyer players scored in double figures. Koblenz moved-up to third place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Speyer. Koblenz will meet Tuebingen II (#7) on the road in the next round. Speyer will have a break next round.
