But Terceira was not able to use a home court advantage and was rolled over by the opponent from Oliveira 96-57 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Oliveirense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Terceira's 22 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Oliveirense forced 22 Terceira turnovers. The former international forward Arnette Hallman (200-88) stepped up and scored 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and the former international point guard Jose Barbosa (178-90) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. Coach Norberto Alves's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American point guard Isaiah Johnson (183-93, college: Young Harris) responded with 17 points and the other American import power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Oliveirense will face Benfica in Lisbona in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Terceira will play at home against Ovarense (#12) and hope to win that game.
