Regular Season Round 2: Horsholm - Lemvig 73-56

Date: October 7, 2017
Very significant was Horsholm's (#1, 2-0) victory against Lemvig (0-2) 73-56. The game was mostly controlled by Horsholm. Lemvig managed to win third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lemvig to just 6 points in first quarter. Horsholm forced 19 Lemvig turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Lisa Murphy (185-94, college: Carnegie Mellon) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and her fellow American import forward Kaitlyn Mathieu (188-92, college: William & Mary) added 6 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Horsholm will meet SISU (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lemvig will play against Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
