Regular Season Round 1: Fenerbahce - OGM Orman 83-65

Fenerbahce used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ankara 83-65 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce. Ormanspor was better in third quarter 26-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce had a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Ormanspor's players. Czech-American power forward Kia Vaughn (193-87, college: Rutgers) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. International center Tilbe Senyurek (190-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Five Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. Fenerbahce's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. American point guard Jasmine Thomas (175-89, college: Duke) produced 23 points and 4 assists and naturalized American forward Michelle Campbell (188-84, college: Rutgers) added 12 points and 6 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) respectively for lost side. Fenerbahce will face Mersin BSB (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Ormanspor will play against Adana ASKI and hope to win that game.
