Regular Season Round 4: Westerstede - Goetting.ASC 100-101

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Goetting.ASC (2-1) edged on the road bottom-ranked Westerstede (0-2) 101-100 on Sunday. Goetting.ASC made 33-of-41 free shots (80.5 percent) during the game, while Westerstede only scored nine points from the stripe. Goetting.ASC forced 20 Westerstede turnovers. Westerstede was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and forward Julian Schmidt (196-83) who added 23 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (190-96) responded with 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists and center Till Isemann (210-96) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Goetting.ASC moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Vechta II. Loser Westerstede still closes the standings with two games lost. Goetting.ASC will face ALBA-2 (#9) in Berlin in the next round. Westerstede will play on the road against Weser Bsk/BTS in Neustadt and hopes to get finally their first victory.
